Searching by Tags

The search bar at the top of the page uses tag-based search. Start typing a tag name and suggestions appear from the tag database. Click a suggestion (or press Enter) to add it as a search filter. You can add multiple tags to narrow your results -- only posts matching all your tags will appear.

Tags appear as pills in the search bar. Click the X on any pill to remove it. The search URL updates automatically, so you can share search links with others.

Negative / Exclude Tags

To exclude content you don't want to see in a specific search:

1. Type a
dash (-) or double dash (--) as the first character in the search bar 2. The suggestion dropdown switches to exclude mode (shown with a red header) 3. Click a suggestion to add it as an excluded tag

Excluded tags show as
red pills with a minus icon. You can also click the small red minus button next to any suggestion to exclude it without entering dash mode.

Exclude tags are saved in the URL (e.g. `/search?tags=beach&exclude=sunset`), so bookmarking the page preserves your filters.

Sort Options

Use the sort toggle on search and tag pages to switch between:

-
Newest: Most recently uploaded posts first (default) - Popular: Highest-voted posts first

The sort preference is included in the URL so it persists when you bookmark or share the search.

Blocked Tags (Global Filter)

Blocked tags are different from search exclude tags -- they apply automatically to every page on the site, not just one search.

Set them up in
Settings > Blocked Tags: type a tag name, pick from suggestions, and it's added to your global filter. You can block up to 200 tags. Blocked tags are merged with any search-specific exclude tags, so both work together.

Blocked tags are private -- only you can see your block list.

Bookmarking Searches

On any search or tag page, click the bookmark icon next to the sort toggle to save that tag combination. Bookmarked searches preserve both your positive and negative tags.

Access all your bookmarked searches from the
Bookmarks page (in your user menu). Each bookmark shows the tags as color-coded pills -- click to instantly run that search again. You can save up to 100 search bookmarks.
