- Username: 4-30 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores only
- Password: minimum 8 characters
- CAPTCHA: complete the Cloudflare Turnstile verification
Your account is created instantly. Some common usernames are reserved (admin, support, etc.) and you cannot take a username that already exists as an uploader name in the system.
Account Security
Each person is limited to 2 accounts (enforced via browser fingerprinting). Registration is rate-limited to 3 attempts per hour per IP. After 3 failed login attempts, a CAPTCHA is required. Login is limited to 5 attempts per 15 minutes per IP to prevent brute force attacks.
Profile Settings
Go to Settings > Profile to customize your public profile:
- Display Name: An optional name shown instead of your username (up to 50 characters)
- Bio: A short description about yourself (up to 500 characters)
- Avatar: Upload a profile picture
- Profile Visibility: Toggle between public and private. Private profiles hide your posts and activity from other users.
User Profiles
Every user has a profile page at `/u/username`. Profiles show two tabs:
Posts tab: All posts uploaded by this user, displayed in a masonry grid with infinite scroll.
Albums tab: All albums created by this user (for creators). Creators with albums default to the Albums tab.
Profile owners see all their content including drafts and private items. Other visitors only see approved public content.
Rule34 Profiles
Uploaders from the original Rule34 database also have profile pages, even without a registered account. These show a "Rule34" badge. If you register with a username matching a Rule34 uploader, the posts from both accounts are automatically merged on your profile.
